Printable applique templates
Simple shapes for applique, stencils and fabric crafts. Pick a shape, set the size and print. Tick “mirror” for fusible web, which is traced on the back.
Printing at the right size
- Press Print template and choose your printer.
- Set scale to 100% or Actual size (not “Fit to page”).
- Measure the test square in the corner: it must be exactly 1 inch (or 2 cm).
All shapes are original drawings and free to use for any project.
Frequently asked questions
Why mirror the template?
With fusible web you trace the shape on the paper side and iron it to the back of the fabric, so the finished piece comes out reversed. Mirroring the template makes it face the right way.
Do I need to add seam allowance?
Not for raw-edge or fusible applique. For needle-turn applique, cut about ⅛ to 3/16 inch outside the line and turn the edge under.
Can I use these templates for things I sell?
Yes. The shapes are original drawings made for this site and you can use them for any project.
